The Cool Kids
The Cool Kids
The Cool Kids is an alternative hip hop group from the Mid-West United States. The duo consists of Antoine "Mikey Rocks" Reed (originally from Matteson, Illinois) and Evan "Chuck Inglish" Ingersoll (originally from Mount Clemens, Michigan).[1] Self-described as "the new black version of the Beastie Boys," The Cool Kids' music has been released primarily to the independent Chocolate Industries via their own label C.A.K.E. Recordings.[2] Reed and Ingersoll have collaborated with several other musical artists and made appearances in numerous media, such as Asher Roth, Kenna, The Bloody Beetroots, Drake, Lil Wayne, Ludacris, and Maroon 5.
River Tiber
River Tiber, aka Toronto producer, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist Tommy Paxton- Beesley, has announced his long-gestating and highly-anticipated debut full length Indigo will be self-released on June 24, 2016. The new album furthers the silky, midnight-hued electronic R&B aesthetic of the wunderkind's previous EPs [2013's The Star Falls and 2015's When The Time Is Right], and joins an ever-growing catalogue that features collaborations with Kaytranada, Pusha T, Daniel Caesar, Jazz Cartier and more.

Indigo sees Paxton-Beesley demonstrating his unique ability as a multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, producer and creative force. He writes, arranges, plays, and records almost every element on every composition, but also uses collaboration as a tool to generate and hone ideas. "Acid Test" is a shining example, as Paxton-Beesley lays drums, bass, synth and cello as a powerful, psychedelic base beneath layers of his airy, soulful vocals. The track also features contributions from members of his live band - Thadeus Garwood, John Mavro, Danny Voicu, and David Lewis.

In two short years River Tiber has developed a global reputation as a producer, not only for the acumen and singularity of vision demonstrated in his own music and collaborations, but also for his work with beat maker heavyweights like Frank Dukes that have lead to vocal placements and session credits on songs by Drake, Travis Scott, Mac Miller, Freddie Gibbs, and more. Last year he also worked closely with friends BADBADNOTGOOD in arranging and playing cello, violin and trombone to the group's Ghostface Killah collab Sour Soul and was one of just three Canadians selected to Red Bull Music Academy Paris.
The ReMINDers
The ReMINDers
The Reminders are a rare and remarkable musical duo seamlessly blending soulful sounds and roots music with insightful messages and thoughtful lyrics. The group consists of Brussels-born emcee Big Samir and Queens-born emcee/ vocalist Aja Black, a collective creative force that's hard to beat. Big Samir weaves intricate rhythmic patterns with a bilingual French/English flow, displaying his street-smart credibility in both his lyrics and cool demeanor. This is beautifully complimented by Aja Black's confident delivery, diverse cadences, and unique vocal stylings. The two have an undeniable magical chemistry as they share more than lyrical abilities and stages; the couple shares a partnership in both music and life as Samir and Aja have been married for almost a decade.

Releasing their debut album 'Recollect' in 2008 and their latest "Born Champions" in 2012, the Reminders have been recognized and applauded for their work internationally through concerts, tours, music awards, TV and radio appearances, and their incredible and dedicated fan base. Having shared the stage with artists such as Les Nubians, Snoop Dogg, Fishbone, Barrington Levy, Nas, Mos Def, Big Boi, KRS-One, Rakim, K'Naan, and others, the Reminders have established a firm place in today's ever-evolving music scene, garnering international acclaim while paving a path all their own. Beyond performances and appearances, the duo is constantly and actively engaged with community organizations, schools, and universities delivering workshops, talks, and specially catered performances.

More than a shade of the same color that we see time and time again, The Reminders transcend the bounds of what is expected. Their stage presence and high energy shows leave crowds in awe the world over, allowing the duo to uplift and entertain all at once. Their unique mashup of razor sharp rhymes; raw, soulful vocals; and reggae-tinged hip hop beats form the perfect backdrop for their relevant and inspiring themes, leaving a lasting impression on listeners with audiences always wanting more. The Reminders take their hip hop foundation and move it beyond genre, time, and space to create a global musical experience that is classic and speaks to all those willing to participate.
