AMZY is a fresh alternative rock / synth pop band from Denver, Colorado bringing unique sounds to life. While AMZY might be newer to the music scene, AMZY front-man, Brennan Johnson, and guitarist, Sean Grant, have been collaborating and experimenting with music since they were young.

The duo met in 2005 when Brennan moved to Denver, Colorado from Melbourne, Australia. Their passion for music and creativity fueled their early music experimentation into different music genres.

From the beginnings of Brennan and Sean's music experimentation in "The Shed," to their involvement in the music outreach charity, 1LiquidHouse, to nighttime jam sessions with friends, and taking time to explore their individual music interests, their music style and talent has continued to grow and evolve.

"We have found that music gives us the ability to capture a specific moment in time, the emotions that we feel as we feel them, the lessons that we learn while we are learning them. We all have albums or songs that capture an emotion or event we experience in certain stages of our lives and when you hear that song years later, you feel all of those emotions flood through again. The goal in our music is to engage your emotions and take you for a ride."

The two have remained friends throughout the years and continued to explore their own musical interests. In 2008, Sean moved to Los Angeles, California after to pursue his love of music full time while attending the Musicians Institute of Hollywood. The two eventually reunited in 2011 and collaborated on various projects before creating AMZY in 2013. Foxfield Four drummer, Wes Barton and bassist, Nick Billings joined the band in 2014.

"As we developed into AMZY, we realized that staying in an exclusive genre doesn't symbolize the freedom we have in finding our identity. Our music has an ever-evolving living breathing soul that finds life and inspiration in the stories surrounding us. AMZY is the outcome of a lot of experimentation between our styles," says Brennan, "we always start on two sides of influence and work to build a bridge to something we like."

AMZY won the KTCL Channel 93.3 Demo Derby Finale in June 2014 and their first song "Time to Change" debuted on the radio on June 27th, 2014. Their single "5 to Midnight" was selected for the KLTC Channel 93.3 Hometown for the Holidays top 11 and lead to them win Hometown for the Holidays 2014!

AMZY has since released their EP album "We Dont Walk, We Dance EP" on iTunes, Amazon, Google Play, Spotify, Beats and more. They have also played the famous 93.3 Garage in conjunction with their EP release party at Moe's BBQ Englewood on January 23rd, 2015. Their EP album titled "We Don't Walk, We Dance" was produced by Joe Richmond of band Churchill features five songs including the title track "We Don't Walk, We Dance", "5 to Midnight", "Kiss Before You Bite", "Dirty Little Liar" and "Feet on the Ground."

"We wrote 5 minutes to midnight as a monument to the youthful mindset that we often abandon when we become adults," said Sean and Brennan, "there's always a happy ending in the back of your mind that allows you to enjoy your current place in life, but at some point the reality of the situation kicks in and you suddenly feel overwhelmed and unable to move."

"'Time to Change' marks the moment of realization that you need to get out of the darkness and start making the vision in the back of your mind become a reality."

AMZY has shared the stage with Bastille, The Wombats, Cold War Kids, Atlas Genius, The Airborne Toxic Event, Robert Delong, MisterWives, Flume, and many many others.

Rumours Follow
Denver, CO-based New Wave band, Rumours Follow, just released their five-track EP, Cities of Love - now available on iTunes. The first compilation since their 2013 self-titled, debut EP that consists of seven high-energy, synth-laden tracks, the band has been releasing singles on a monthly basis until now. Cities of Love fuses elements of jazz, funk, alt-rock and pop together, while adding satirical and metaphorical lyrics that show their 90’s rock and 80’s pop influences.

Previously a 6-piece band for their first release, Rumours Follow has whittled their line-up down to key members Nicklas Sanders (vocals, guitar), Adam Swanson (synthesizers, vocals), and Dennis Hernandez (synthesizers) for this new release. Having shared the stage with Panic! At the Disco, Twenty One Pilots, American Authors, Walk The Moon, MS MR, Bad Suns, Brick + Mortar, Andy Grammer, The Royal Concept, The Spill Canvas, The Griswolds, Tokio Hotel and Parade of Lights, the synth-pop band are far from newcomers on the Colorado scene. The Howler says, “Rumours Follow, one of Denver’s finest alt-rock bands with a sweet tooth for synthesizers and charming piano kicks, have been broadening in popularity rapidly since winning the main stage on Channel 93.3’s Big Gig 2014.”

The Rooster raves, “‘Cities Of Love” is a time-traveling delicacy and a complete deviation from tired local sounds. Think 80s video montage scenes with so many consensual sex scenes.” AltVibe chimes to say, “In their short existence, the three piece band has covered a lot of ground sonically” and “The comparisons that can be drawn to this band are endless, but making themselves sound similar to so many bands of several different styles is what truly makes them stand out as their own.”
